33 souls who are damned for hell have taken a defiant stand against the judgement God has placed upon them, and now seek to rally together through several stages of hell in order to defy fate and become 33 Immortals. Players will join massive ongoing raids of up to 33 players with their chosen weapons, abilities, and upgrades to loot God’s domain, grow even more powerful, and kill God itself.

In the heat of combat, with swarms of demons flooding the immediate area, it’s actually tricky to get three people to stand in the proper spots, but it takes just a moment of synchrony for the special ability to activate, and it’s a palpable relief every time. And then everyone immediately gets back to hurling spells, shooting arrows, flinging daggers and reviving allies, eyes peeled for the next special ability.

Releasing on Game Pass is a major plus for this reason, but the studio is skipping Steam for the early access launch. This has not boded well for most multiplayer games on PC.

Mass multiplayer dungeon diving being its primary strength can also be a pitfall if not enough players end up being available to sustain it in a few months’ time. Game Pass is a valuable launch platform in this regard, but not having a Steam version may hurt the game more than a little.

Complete these to earn a variety of helpful loot and resources that you can then put into your character, increasing your odds of success as you proceed to tackle the next Torture Chamber, and then the one after that, and so forth.

Attempting to solo almost any activity can get boring quickly. I found that even the smallest enemies can be massive bullet sponges until you build up your character with hours of upgrades. Even as a late-stage herculean character, having some backup can upgrade the amount of damage you deal exponentially. is masterfully crafted, making every hit and enemy attack feel weighty and impactful. Each sound is drawn out to perfection, whether it’s the satisfying clash of weapons or the eerie whispers of the damned in the background. The soundtrack complements this beautifully—calm and atmospheric during exploration, yet swelling into epic intensity when battles heat up.

Multiple times in different runs when me and a couple of others were attempting to take down a mini boss in the overworld without making much progress with health bars dwindling. Soon, another group players that was simply passing through waded in to help out, slicing through the mobs like butter. Receiving help like this is exhilarating, usually combining the groups into a larger pile that can ravage through the map efficiently.
